Description:
4-5’ x 18” wide (seed propagated). Blue False Indigo is a large, showy, tall grass prairie native wildflower treasured for its lush blue-green foliage and stunning deep blue, flowering spikes. Blooming in June and July, Baptisia has an enormous, deep reaching root system and is very long lived, so give it a few growing seasons to reach mature size. Widely adapted Baptisia thrives in loam and clay soils. Stunning in companion with Echinacea (Purple coneflower) and Penstemon ‘Mersae Yellow’. Two-year-old plants grown in premium 5” deep pots.
