Clematis scottii
Sugarbowl Clematis
Quick Facts
Legend
Description:
12” x 18” wide, (seed propagated). A stunning wildflower from the southern foothills of Colorado’s Front Range, this non-vining bush clematis will add a touch of the unusual to your garden! Closely related to Clematis ‘Garden Club of Denver’, Clematis scottii is a long-lived perennial with showy 1” deep blue, bell-shaped flowers followed by fuzzy, white, ornamental seed heads. Grown in enriched, well-drained soils, it can take full sun when regularly irrigated or can tolerate drier soil in partial shade. Like a peony, Sugarbowl Clematis is a bit slow to get going, but will put on an amazing floral display once mature. Zones 4-8.
Grown in 5” deep premium pots!
Special Notes:
Slow to get going, but well worth the effort.
