A Valentine Tale
It was known by all that Scarlet Hedgenettle was the Beauty of Livermere. Her mother, the Violet Queen, was eager for her daughter's Royal Wedding to Sir Beardtongue, who had made an Advance upon seeing Scarlet's Maiden Hair under the Moonshine. Scarlet was shy and reserved, unlike her sister Rosa x Nearly Wild; and wanted nothing to do with Beardtongue or Lady Tulip, who was arranging the Royal Wedding. Distraught, Scarlet sought the advice of the Red Hobbit, who gave her a potion of Purple Sensation Allium and told her to visit the wise old Wild Thing Bush Sage. On her way, she was startled by the Red Devil Verbena and his Horehound. "Come to my Inferno Strip Garden, my little Flame Flower, and play some Red Hot Poker," said he. Frightened, Scarlet ran furthur into the forest and realized she was, indeed, lost. Suddenly, she was approached by the Pink Wild Snapdragon. "I am the feared dragon of Livermere" he said. "I will turn you into a Hot Spot Coral," and blazed an Orange Flare through his nostrils. Suddenly a Dark Knight wearing a Prince's Plume and carrying a Golden Torch swept Scarlet Hedgenettle from the dragon's flare and together they road on his galloping white horse towards a Blazing Star in the night. "Alas, you are my Daydream," she proclaimed." And you are my Dream of Beauty," he replied.
