About Our Plants

  • All plants are grown in pots. We generally don’t sell or recommend bare‑root perennials or shrubs for harsh western climates, with the exception of Daylilies and plants grown from tubers or bulbs, such as Bearded Iris. Learn more: How Our Plants Ship.
  • Our potted plants arrive fully rooted and healthy—plant as soon as possible. Some plants may ship dormant (sleeping). Plant dormant items right away; they do best waking up in the garden as soils warm. Learn more about Dormant Plants.
  • Most plants are sold in Premium 5" deep (1.5‑pint volume) pots unless otherwise noted. Other sizes include 2.5" standard pots (3.25" deep) and 2.25" cactus pots—optimized for water‑thrifty plants.
